Case Studies

Strategy is only as good as the results it delivers. These are the businesses we have partnered with to turn reactive marketing into consistent, commercial growth, and a closer look at how we did it.

Industry: Manufacturing

Service: Marketing Strategy & Fractional CMO Services

Client Background

TPS is a leading Australian manufacturer of water measurement instruments and accessories, with a history dating back to 1968. Trusted across mining, construction, education, environmental, and more, TPS had a loyal customer base, but significant untapped market potential.

Client Challenge

Newly appointed CEO Greg Smyth needed to successfully launch a new product and grow the business. Larger competitors were failing to deliver on customer promises, presenting a clear market opportunity. The challenge: convert that opportunity into revenue quickly.

Our Approach

We conducted a full marketing audit, competitor research, and ran a strategy workshop with the CEO and Business Development Manager. From there, we developed two ideal customer profiles, defined key messaging, named the product, and delivered a 12-month marketing roadmap with a detailed 90-day launch plan. We also recruited a marketing coordinator to implement it while overseeing it.

Our Solution

We named the new product "The Ranger" and built a full go-to-market strategy around it, including a new Shopify website, product branding, an invitation-only launch event for customers and distributors, Google Ads, social media campaigns, and email marketing to the existing database. Every channel was aligned to a single, cohesive launch narrative.

Results & Impact

The Ranger became 30% of TPS's revenue. Social media following grew by 30%. Email campaigns achieved a 15% click-through rate, well above industry benchmarks. Google Ads delivered positive ROI. The engagement evolved into a long-term strategic partnership, and the frameworks implemented are now supporting TPS's expansion into other markets.

With TPS having a loyal customer base in Australia, I was looking to elevate the brand's awareness to a new generation of clients and prepare for the launch of a new product series. I turned to Kristy and Hunter Marketing Co., having previously worked with them on similar projects. Kristy's professional approach in developing a coherent strategy and implementation plan ensured strong team buy-in. TPS retained Kristy as a fractional CMO to support a smooth implementation, while also guiding and empowering the team for future growth.

Client Background

DC House is a QBCC Licensed Builder specialising in granny flats across South-East Queensland. With five years of specialist experience serving the Gold Coast, South Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, and Scenic Rim regions, DC House has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality secondary dwellings using precision-engineered 100% steel-frame construction at a fixed price. Their comprehensive turnkey service covers everything from design and site assessment through to council approvals, construction, and final handover.

Client Challenge

Director Tayne Watson needed a whole-of-business marketing strategy to support DC House's ambitious revenue and growth goals. This included launching their new Fast-track Granny Flat Range to market while also strengthening marketing for their existing on-site builds. The business had grown organically but lacked internal marketing resources and had been reliant on an underperforming agency. Their marketing foundations and processes needed a significant upgrade.

Our Approach

We conducted a full marketing audit, competitor research, and ran a strategy workshop with the Director, Sales and Operations teams. From there, we developed two ideal customer profiles, defined key messaging, and delivered a high impact 12-month marketing roadmap with a detailed 90-day launch plan. The completed marketing strategy, budget and full recommendations were presented to the entire senior leadership team at DC House.

Our Solution

We built a phased go-to-market strategy aligned to DC House's revenue targets and product launch timeline.

Phase 1 focused on strengthening brand foundations, finalising messaging and positioning, mapping both the marketing and customer experience journeys, and provided recommendations for the website, social media, and collateral for consistency across all channels.

Phase 2 centred on launching the Fast-track Granny Flat Range with an Open Day BBQ event, supported by a fully developed campaign funnel, landing page with quiz and lead capture into Pipedrive, Meta Ads across multiple formats, product brochure, and five campaign banners. Kristy selected HMC partners VIZR and Mino Design & Digital to deliver the creative and digital execution for this campaign. Email nurture sequences and a customer feedback survey were also developed and deployed.

Phase 3 established the ongoing framework to drive qualified leads for both product lines, with continuation of the marketing plan introduced and prioritised as the foundation for sustained growth. This included best practice guidelines for implementation, continuous optimisation across all active channels, weekly performance reporting, KPIs set across all channels, and strategic recommendations to improve SEO performance and build internal marketing capability for long-term momentum.

Results & Impact

The Fast-track marketing campaign launch exceeded every target we set within 2 months:

  • 126 open day registrations (target: 60–80)
  • 52 warm leads engaged (target: 40–60)
  • 20 follow-ups booked (target: 10–15)
  • A targeted campaign with $4,000 Meta ad spend converted into a single $137,500 sale, a 34x return on ad spend
  • Email nurture sequences and lead capture infrastructure are now in place to continue converting the warm pipeline

We originally brought Kristy from Hunter Marketing Co. in to help us with a go-to-market strategy for our new Fast-track Range. What we got was a whole lot more. She gave us a clear, well-defined and holistic marketing strategy with the activities to back it up, nailed the messaging so we're positioned properly and attracting the right customers, brought in implementation partners she trusts, and then directed the entire product launch. The results speak for themselves. Kristy has made our lives easier, helped us build the marketing foundations we were missing, and she's still with us working towards our growth goals. It's been a pleasure partnering with her, and it's good knowing she has our back.
